QuestingHound uses a two-tiered sales approach that has an inside sales team supporting outside sales reps who work remotely. They needed a tool that would allow their inside team, outside reps, and customers to be able to access the same information. It was crucial to have the ability to integrate all of their distributor's product and price files seamlessly. "Since implementing ChannelOnline we have seen numerous benefits, but by far our biggest benefit has been increased efficiency," says John Boden, President of QuestingHound Technology Partners. "This year we have seen our sales quadruple over last year and we have only added one additional member to our inside team for support!"

John considers the quoting tool to be one of the most valuable pieces of functionality inside of ChannelOnline. "The ability to see all of our distributor's products and pricing in real-time is a great feature. We can generate a quote and e-mail it to the customer (as well as the outside rep if necessary) all in an efficient and timely manner. When an outside sales rep or a customer generates a quote, there is no guessing on what needs to be ordered. The quote is accessible and ready to be placed by the inside team without having to re-enter everything," John says.

QuestingHound is using ChannelOnline to increase efficiency in several other ways. For example, they now submit sales orders from ChannelOnline to one of their primary suppliers without having to use a separate required process. "We are taking advantage of ChannelOnline's sales orders by submitting them to Ingram Micro's Select Source program. This eliminates the need to fill out their required order form, which in turn has greatly reduced turn-around time and eliminates mistakes that occur from double entry," John says.

ChannelOnline has given QuestingHound numerous opportunities since they implemented the solution. The unique hosted model allows them to outsource all of the system support, which was once done internally with their old quoting and ordering solution. They can easily add reps in the field by simply giving them a username and password. The product data, comparisons, and pictures provided allow them to quickly get the correct systems quoted and has cut down on their returns (RMAs). "The ability to customize price books within customer accounts by vendor line and price points allows us to control and improve our margins," John adds. "Overall, we are very satisfied with our purchase of ChannelOnline and are eagerly awaiting the new features that are scheduled in the near future."
